Well this is the first 4th of July under the new fireworks ban in Vancouver city proper and there are fewer booms and bangs from my perspective on the very edge of the city. Vancouver’s large swaths of unincorporated urban areas however are unaffected by the city law and follow Clark County’s more generous laws.
Fort Vancouver is having another big professional show on the park grounds. This draws enormous crowds to arrive early. Information is available here.
It looks like the weather is going to be rather favorable for the big day as it has already been all weekend long. Love me a nice mild Fourth of July. Temps in the 70s and 80s ah, so delicious.
